Acne Cure

If you’re one of the several people in the world who is suffering from acne, you know exactly how difficult it is to deal with this problem. This is one of the most prevalent disorders mainly in teenagers living in the United States and from other parts of the world as well. The condition, though so common, is also extremely stubborn and refuses to leave a person once it has gotten its clutches on him. People end up spending a lot of time and money finding the right cure, but never quite got there.

It has to be understood that acne occurs mainly due to some imbalances in the body, either due to hormonal disturbances, stress, anxiety or just a bad metabolic system. Hence, the method followed to bring relief should ideally be holistic in nature. Just as a lot of causes can trigger acne, cure too should be multi-faceted, going down to the very root of the problem.

As you would have realized by now, there are several ways to treat acne. There are acne creams available off the counter, drugs to be taken orally, antibiotics, even surgery, as the last resort.

There are several home remedies suggested from time to time and some of them actually work. Some people swear by sugar solution. Some sugar mixed with a little water, they say, is very helpful, as sugar contains mild antiseptic agents. This mixture works to gently exfoliate the skin, thereby removing surface impurities. Some suggest Dead Sea Salt as an effective palliative measure.

A good cure may sometimes be available at home itself. These are some of the regular items we use at home, which can come of use for pimples:

  • NEEM: Neem is known to be a coolant with powerful anti-bacterial properties. Grinding neem leaves into a paste and leaving on the face for some time, cools the parched skin, while also fighting off the parasites.
  • OLIVE OIL AND TEA TREE OIL: These oils are proven methods to bring relief to scarred skin.
  • BASIL: Basil, or Tulsi, as it is called in India, is known to have medicinal properties and is worshipped in this sub-continent.
  • NATURAL MUD PACKS: Mother Earth has healing properties too! Using some mud packs on the face is very soothing and highly beneficial.
  • TURMERIC AND SANDALWOOD: Turmeric has antiseptic qualities. Sandalwood, while a coolant, cannot always be used in treatment, as many people are allergic to the substance.

As you can see, purely natural, herbal substances are perfectly capable of working efficiently against the spread of the disease. Of course, if the problem still persists or gets worse, you should immediately get an appointment with a dermatologist and get yourself thoroughly checked.

As mentioned before, it is important to realize that there is nothing like an EXCLUSIVE AND ULTIMATE cure to the problem. A multi-pronged attack is what usually helps. A balanced, fat-free diet including fiber, vitamins and minerals, maintaining good hygiene, cleansing the affected parts often, getting into yoga and meditation (which help ease the mental trauma too) and moderate exercise can help immensely in your quest for that lovely, young-looking skin! Above all, maintaining a positive attitude on life itself and tackling the problem cheerfully, can work miracles to increase your face value!!!
